WASHI TAPE!!!

I love washi tape.  I got my first roll from Freckled Fawn.  I found some at Target, in office supply, bought all their styles (patterned paper tape).  I have a few, a very few, from the stores near by.  I have been using it in scrapbooking and card making.  I will post some pictures, later.

Scrapbooking- Aunt Charlynn and Me
This is a layout with a sunburst of paper.  There is a tutorial at Let's Scrap on how to make a sunburst.  I cross stiched the sunburst. I love this look, I'm sure I'll use it again. This is the last page of Zander's baby album.

Scrapbooking: Alena

This is for a Scrap your stash Challege at Let's Scrap.  Using 10 stickers was hard at first, but I like the results.
Challenge:
1 die cut title… you know we all have them!
4 die cut shapes
10 stickers
1 patterned paper
3 different colors of cardstock

Alena loves to dress up. I think this is the dress her big sister wore years ago. Isn't she lovely?

Scrapbooking: MOM

What a surprise and honor! My layout of my MOM was chosen as inspiration of the week at Let's Scrap http://letsscrap.ning.com/.  It is International Scrapbooking Month. there have been so many wonderful challenges over at Let's Scrap.  This challenge was to scrap your mom using a Let's Scrap sketch and a punched out element.  I used my border punch to create the blue strip near the bottom of the page.

Look no Hands

INSM#4

I had so much fun doing this LO. I knew I what I wanted to use and knew which drawers to look for the items. The cardboard gird is from discarded parts of game board pieces. My children laugh at me, but I eventually do use them. The pieces include: two flatten bottle caps, two plastic paper clips and two plastic tab looking things are the hook things I broke off sugar cookie cutters. The banners and the title are cutup paint chips. The strip on the banner is a strip of corragated cardboard. The "eyes" is a sock holder. I stamped the background with bubble wrap using silver and copper paint by makingmemories. I used the right side of sketch. The pictures are almost 15 years old.

Scrapbooking-First Born and Sweet Joy

This is my first attempt at Let's Scrap Use your Stash Challenge #317. I was so excited about the lion paper I forgot I needed to use 3 pattern papers.  I love how it turned out.

Border punch-bottom strip. 2 different colors of glimmer mist-tatterd angels Puerto Rico and Gumdrop on the scalloped circle using Tim Holts masts. Two chipboard ribbon slides and the journery ribbon.  Sketch 1-25-12

Weekend-Love comes to the House

Sierra is playing with her first born, Zander.

This weekend my daughter, Sierra and her family came.  It was her 29th birthday.  They ended up going to Chicago for the day, then spent the night at my son, Peters. My son, John, and his wife, Dana, arrived after 10 pm. Later David and his family will join us for Sunday dinner.  I going to grill chicken, make a pasta salad and an impossible pumpkin pie. Family is so important to me.  Thank you God for the gift of family!!!

White Elephant-Scrapbooking

This is part of my mother-in-laws Christmas album. The Blumbergs gather for a Christmas party every year. I create an album for her. The last few years I have made the albums 81/2 by 11.  This is four pages.  I took the pictures before the journaling, because the sun was out.  It's so much fun working on this album. It's like being at the party all over again.

Love is in the house

My first post.  Why Love is in the House? David (my fourth son) had me listen to a song by Tobi Mac. It was a description of how our house feels when everyone is home. I love that feeling.  I also know that LOVE-JESUS is always present in the house.
