Trust in the Lord with all your heart!!! It has certainly been a time of trusting.  Being a caregiver of a parent certainly cultivates trust in God!!!  The Lord has been faithful! He has strengthen me and been with me, especially when I felt alone. Thank you, Lord for your loving presence in my life.

Now I would like to share one of my favorite layouts (scrapbooking keeps me busy, during the long hours with mom.)  This layout was inspired by a challenge at Let's Scrap.

Design Team  Challenge 172- Flowers/ Plants/Trees Overload.
I had so much fun doing this page. I was especially imspired by Michelle Looi's example. I used a old sheet of K&Company paper by Brenda Walton as my background. I cut out a tree overlay from my new cricut cartridge Artbooking. I ended up not using the overlay, instead I used it as a stencil(tree) Using the overlay I sprayed my page with gold mist, then used gelatos for the leaves and trunk. I outlined my leaves in gold, it didn't show up enough so I used a metallic copper pen to define the leaves better, I discovered that if you rub the marker lines right away they blend a little. i not sure I like the title. I also think I will use gesso for a base coat next time. The paper started to peel a little. Love this picture of my granddaughter she is finally starting to smile for pictures.

I have been enjoying using the Artbooking cart from Close to My Heart. Hope to post lots of Halloween layouts using this cart.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart!

Happy Easter! Alleluia, He is Risen!!!

I am loving the video series 213 in 2013 at Two Peas in a Bucket http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/
This week Corrie Jones has a great technique with washi tape-my favorite embellie right now.  I loved creating this layout below. She also challenged us to hand cut some embellishment.  I liked the blue paper for the base. I noticed it had the banners on the side, so I cut most of each banner out and brought them to the front of the layout. I then printed the pictures I had of the Birthday celebration.  Thanks for the inspiration, Corrie!
Lately I have been creating my layouts before knowing what pictures I want to use, because I want to try the technique. It has been a very creative and satisfying way to scrapbook.

Scrapbooked nine layouts in February!  Below are a couple more.

I love this layout. It  was inspired by Seeing Double: A Gecko to Love (Two Peas in a Bucket) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEd6LJ4bv74 The patterned paper is from a 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey called out of print. The journaling is on the remember tag.  This is my youngest daughter and her boy friend.

In this layout the challenge was to use thickers for the letters.  I didn't have thickers but used some of my letter sticker stash and cut letters with my circut.  Check out Scrap Your Stash: The Smallest Things
by Paige Evan (Two Peas in a Bucket) Feb. 21, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3En3wcwTJ8  I love this picture of Layla.  I took it on a Sat. and Layla took my picture.  Isn't she good with a camera. We've had several special moments on Sat. mornings.

Scrapbooking this weekend

My daughter-in-laws and I Scrapbooked on Saturday. It was so much fun.  I love sharing my ideas and my stash with them. I got three layouts done, and put the finishing touches on another one today.
These two I posted at Let's Scrap http://letsscrap.ning.com/

I love watching the videos from Two Peas in a Bucket. I used the comment from the facebook post.
The next layout was inspired by

213 in 2013 with Corrie Jones: Sweet Summer Friends.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KqzMvwIQiw

I created this layout for my February calendar page. I try to find something current. This month I found a picture of my niece as a toddler and them a current on of her from facebook.  I love using washi tape.

I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.  I'm going to try this blogging thing again!
I have been following Stacy Williams atlovethatbug.blogspot.com   She is doing a video series for cards using Create a Critter 2. Fun!!!  I created several Valentines for my grandchildren.

This is on page 35 of handbook, button #7.
Love this card, I think the gingham blue and white made this card pop! The banner is on page 35, cut at 2''

This is card #2 in the series, page 30, button #2.
I think I cut the koala a bit bigger than Stacy.

This is card #5 in the series, page 33, Button #5. This one is for dear Henry who was born in last fall.

This card is not one from the series, but was certainly inspired by Stacy.  I didn't know how big the shoe and phrase would be.
I use provo Craft Room . http://www.cricut.com/home/craftroom/ to figure out the sizes.

Well I'm going to Let's Scrap http://letsscrap.ning.com/ and work on the Sketch for this week. Hope to post it next week. Maybe Thursday will be my post day.  Check out the Question of the Week there!!!

Remember to be near God is good!!!

WASHI TAPE!!!

I love washi tape.  I got my first roll from Freckled Fawn.  I found some at Target, in office supply, bought all their styles (patterned paper tape).  I have a few, a very few, from the stores near by.  I have been using it in scrapbooking and card making.  I will post some pictures, later.

Scrapbooking- Aunt Charlynn and Me
This is a layout with a sunburst of paper.  There is a tutorial at Let's Scrap on how to make a sunburst.  I cross stiched the sunburst. I love this look, I'm sure I'll use it again. This is the last page of Zander's baby album.
